Another Beautiful Fall Day

If there's one (more) thing I can be thankful for, it's the weather.  I couldn't have asked for a better summer to be off work, and fall is turning out to be the same.  Yesterday we spent (practically) the entire day outside, most of it along the shorelines of the lake.  We even picked apples to put in our backyard for the deer...and they were gone this morning!!

Haircut #2

On Saturday I took Mitchell to get his haircut.  Since a few comments had been made suggesting his hair was starting to get the ever-popular-trailer-park-look of a mullet, I decided it best to have him cleaned up a bit.  I had very high hopes that perhaps this time he would be a little more relaxed about the whole thing, but that didn't happen.  In fact, he was even more hysterical than the first time.  He was the loudest kid in the place and I was the most embarrassed parent (he actually made me break out in a sweat!).

Not even the paci would do the trick...AND he turned down lollipops, so it must have been torture!  Hope he's not scarred for life!

I Am

I am thinking:  about Gram today...it's her birthday.

I am thankful:  for way too many things to list, but mostly for my healthy family.

I am wearing:  a ripped up old sweatshirt...the best kind.

I am creating:  a giant mess in my kitchen with all the super glue projects I'm working on!

I am going:  to make a big batch of Bourbon Slushies for the weekend and the big PSU/OSU game.

I am reading:  PUSH, the novel which inspired the upcoming movie Precious.

I am hearing:  a train whistle.

I am hoping:  for some things that I don't exactly want to share with everyone else.  Sorry.  If they happen I'll letcha know!
