Oh Me Garsh...A Look Back!
Well hey there y'all! Hasn't it been quite some time??? The winter has been rough and right after I posted about getting my fancy schmancy new camera I took a ton of pics only to realize that my card is in no way compatible to my printer. Hmph...financial dimemna #431...since I got all this fancy schmancy new camera equipment wouldn't it be worth it to invest in some half-fancy-schmancy printer/uploader/master of my domain? Why yes, it would, but that has not been an option in our home this winter so I resort to uploading via CD and trying to catch up from the last, almost 4 months...so if you're starting here, be sure to look back!

A Hard Knock on the Head
Some more winter fun from one of our winter day excursions...except this day was slightly exceptional! I decided to head up to the Flat Rocks...I dunno if that's they're official name but this is a place that I've posted about before that has become beloved to our little family unit-up Wallis Run Road along the Creek. We have spent a lot of time there since we moved back to PA but I had not been there since the flooding in September of 2011...so I decided to take Mitchell there one find March afternoon. It was great...until Mitchell decided to pitch at rock into the side of my head. I think I may have blacked out for a fleeting moment...all I remember is the sound of my sunglasses cracking and then opening my eyes to creekbed. Yep, that means opening my eyes to rocks about 3" from my face. It makes me so thankful that nothing worse happened...it was a bit serious. I was dazzled and couldn't sit up properly. Mitchell was clueless. Clueless to the fact he just hit his mama in the side of the head with a large rock. What if we had been closer to the part of the creek that had 2-foot rapids? What if he went up to the road by himself to try and get help for me? There are so many what-ifs....I'm so just incredibly thankful that nothing worse happened and I was able to capture moments like these, before the Hard Knock on the Head...
And this last picture is the most lovely...so peaceful...
p.s. for those of you familar with the area...this will give you new reference on what it looks like now...way different!!
