The Hiawatha

Tonight we took Mitchell for an evening kids karaoke cruise on the legendary Hiawatha here in Williamsport.  We met up with Aunt Michele and Maxton and all went together.  The boys were so cute...they hugged eachother hello and told eachother "I love you" when we left afterwards!

Here she is...

Taking a quick swing while we wait to embark!

 Ready to go!

There was face painting for the kids-which Mitchell loves!  he requested his fave, a panda, but instead got a dinosaur that opened its mouth when Mitchell opened his

Maxton got a snake that appeared to be wrapped around his head-very cute, but this photo only shows it half done
And here he is folks...his karaoke debut!  he chose to sing BOOM BOOM POW by the Black Eyed Peas.  Quite entertaining until I realized there was a cuss word involved!  I was so embarrassed I was sweating!  he breezed right through it and got the loudest applause of the evening!

We may have to do this again next month!

Hughesville Carnival

Tonight we took a quick ride to Hughesville for some Friday night entertainment.  Mitchell's entertainment consisted mostly of rides.  Our entertainment consisted of watching Mitchell, people watching (whoa), and eating pie.  Mmmm, homemade pies.
Band groupie!  Mitchell told the lady in the band (whose back is towards the camera) that it was his birthday so she made a special point of having the band sing happy birthday to him...even though it WASN'T his birthday.  We didn't have the heart to tell her-we just played along.

 Oh boy, another dragon ride...
Just as thrilling as all the others, as you can tell!

 "ALL ABOARD!!!"

Strawberry Picking

This morning Mitchell and I went to a local farm to pick strawberries.  As you can tell by the photos, not many berries were picked on his behalf, as the boxes are empty and the face is grouchy!  He picked about 5 of them, ate 2 of those 5, and then started chasing around the farmhand named Adam.  I sweat it out through 4 quarts and called it...enough to make some yummies for the weekend!

What we Found in Our Yard Today

I was sitting on the sofa and glanced outside to see this in the yard...

Mitchell loved it.  He kept walking alongside of it saying, "Come on little turtle, let's go find your family."
