Morrow County Fair

This past weekend we (once again) entertained ourselves and the little guy at another county fair. We went about 45 minutes north to the Morrow County Fair, and we both agreed that this was the best county fair we've been to. It was tons of fun and we ended up spending 4 hours there!
One of the best things about this fair is that it was super kid friendly. They had more "little kid" rides than any of the other fairs we've been to. And fortunately for us, Mitchell was in the mood! He tried almost everything this time but curiously enough, wouldn't go on any of the animals on the merry-go-round. So I guess it's true-there's a first time for everything! In the past the merry-go-round has always been the sure thing, but not this day!

But I have to say, the highlight of the fair was the horse costume contest. Check out some of my favorites:

This little guy (literally, he was some type of miniature horse breed) just looked like he was absolutely humiliated.
Isn't it every horse's dream to be a 4-wheeler?

Another fave...a good 'ol John Deere tractor! Love it!

Just a few other animal highlights I had to share...check out the eyes on this horse:

Okay, these poor little chickens were sitting on the ground, soaking wet after just getting a bath. There was a third one just a few feet from them getting dried with a blow dryer, but these guys hadn't yet had their turn. The one on the left was shivering so badly he kept falling backwards...it was hysterical but a bit sad. I just wanted to pick them up and cuddle with them!
Here are some ride highlights...in the first photo, the boys on on the right side on the pink slide.

Then it was my turn...

No fair would be complete without trying to capture Bubba on some farm equipment...

Then it was time to play and make friends...

Okay, this last picture is proof that even if you are the cutest kid in the world, you can take a bad picture. If you ever need a good laugh, this is your ticket. I say this out of love, of course. Go ahead, I dare you not to laugh...
