The National Air Museum

Since airplanes, flying, anything related to going fast in the sky are some of Mitchell's favorite things these days, we decided to take him to The National Air Musuem in Dayton today.  He was all ramped up to go, as I had been telling him that we were going to see lots of airplanes the day before.

For those of you who haven't been there, if you ever have the chance, it's worth the stop.  The museum is run by the US Air Force and has free admission.  They have quite an impressive span of aircraft, and considering that the Wright Brothers are from Ohio, they didn't skimp from the get go.

It was not crowded at all when we went that morning, and Mitchell had free reign to blow off a lot of steam on a cold, wet, grey winter day (I think it was our 15th straight day of snow).  The hangars are rather dark, so I can only share just a few photos...most turned out too dark to post.  Some are kinda quirky.
